Angelina
Jolie is a movie actress who seemed for much of her career to
live on the 9th house Moon-and-Mars-joined-in-Aries opposing
Pluto edge of life. She was all action, impulse, buff,
and into blood tattoos. Then something happened. When she was
interviewed recently by Anderson Cooper on CNN, she actually
appeared more caring and humane than many global leaders,
someone who was humbly learning to be a citizen of the 21st
Century world. She is in fact the Goodwill
Ambassador for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.
Here
are a few quotes from her interview with Anderson Cooper,
which show a celebrity trying to overcome her own status
and be transformed on a personal level. She was speaking
of a Sierra
Leone refugee camp:
“I
hadn't seen anything like that…I was so grateful to have
had that experience. And I knew I was changing as a person.
I was learning so much about life. And I was --in some ways,
it was the best moment of my life, because it... changed me
for the better…
"I
was very focused on myself, on my career, on my life…we
have so much and we want for other things, and we don't realize
how grateful we should be about things. I had been -- done things,
you know, like most teenagers, hurting myself...
"And then, suddenly, you see these people who are really fighting
something, who are really surviving, who have so much pain and
loss and things that you have no idea. And you just feel like,
your whole life, you have just been so sheltered and so spoiled
with so much…
"I
am so inspired by these people. And they are the greatest strength…even
just today, I was, you know, breast-feeding, and tired, and
thinking, God, I really don't know how I'm going to get myself
together to be thinking for this interview. But you think, Jesus,
the things these people go through. I owe it to all of them
to get myself together, to stop whining about being tired, and
get there and get focused, and, because God, it's the least
I can do.”
Jolie
has Cancer rising with Venus exactly conjunct her Ascendant
degree (her birth data is from her birth certificate--see her
horoscope below). One can see the strong Venus influence in
her appearance, but the sign of Cancer on her Ascendant has
also given her a strong nurturing quality.
She
has Jupiter conjunct her Aries Midheaven. After winning an Oscar
for her supporting role in Girl, Interrupted, she has kept
her career going by playing larger than life (Jupiter)

Jolie's
Pluto is in Libra. Like many in her generation, she is

She
