Kanye West is a music producer turned hip-hop performer. He has produced hits for singer Alicia Keys and rapper Jay-Z. In 2005, he won several Grammy awards for his own performances and his current CD, Late Registration, is the #1 selling CD in the world. He was recently in the news for controversially speaking out—at a music awards ceremony—against President Bush’s response to Hurricane Katrina, stating that it demonstrated Bush’s racial insensitivity.

 

Kanye Omari West is a Gemini born on June 8, 1977, in Atlanta, Georgia. His birth time is not known, but his Moon is in mid-Pisces (see horoscope below). Both his luminaries are therefore in mutable signs, re-enforcing his multi-dimensional talents, creative artistry, and intuitive capability. If he had an early AM birth, transiting Uranus would just now be approaching a conjunction with his Moon. His Venus and Mars are conjunct, as are his Sun and Jupiter, the latter conjunction especially giving his music an added moral and optimistic dimension.

 

Three years ago, on October 23, 2002, Kanye West was in a car accident which broke his jaw in three places.
