Philip was born in Boston, Massachusetts, where he grew up with a love of the Red Sox (and a dislike of snow). Today, he lives with his wife in Southern California, where he spent most of his career as a high school English teacher.

In 2006, Llewellyn Worldwide published Philip's first book, Cosmic Trends, selected as a Finalist for the Coalition of Visionary Resources Award for Best Divination Book. He has just released his follow-up work, On the Cusp: Astrological Reflections from the Threshold. On the Cusp also includes the opening chapters of Philip's new teen mystery titled Wallride, which will be released in Summer, 2011.

Philip once dreamed of becoming a Shakespearean actor (he played Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet) and studied drama for a year in London. True to his Leo Sun, one of his favorite activities is still a night at the theater.
